GOOGLE EARTH OFFERS VIRTUAL TOUR OF MASTERPIECES

Google earth has launched a virtual tour of the Prado Museum im Madrid, Spain, that enables Web Surfers to examine 14 paintings by artists such as Velazquez, Goya and Rubens in ultra high resolution. The researhers took over 8,200 photographs, and combined them using Google Earth's zoom-in technology. Javier Zapatero, Google Spain's Director, said that the images are 1,4oo times clearer than those a 10 megapixel camera could provide.
